East Mountain Residence: LEED Certified!

East Mountain Residence is the first home in NEPA to be awarded LEED certification by the USGBC.  LEED for Homes involves a technically rigorous process, including a home energy rating and on-site inspections to verify the home is energy and water efficient, environmentally sound, and a healthier place to live.  The project features a geothermal/radiant hybrid heating and cooling system, a heat exchange structured plumbing system, low-e argon windows, high efficiency lighting fixtures, Energy Star appliances and high density cellulose insulation.  Other features include rapidly renewable and recycled materials, low VOC paint, and site design that reduces water use and run-off.  Wiring for solar panels in the roof has been installed for future use.
