Designed to serve as an outdoor gathering place for faculty, students, staff and local residents, this wooden pavilion on Keystone College’s campus celebrates raw materials and joinery. Bolts are highlighted as the main form of connection between the wooden elements and a concrete floor. This open and airy structure exudes sustainability from the materials and louvers to the shape itself. The silhouette of the roof was created to optimize rainwater run off on the site, truly emphasizing its sustainable presence on the college campus.
